Mission
The mission of the Jump$tart Coalition is to advance financial literacy and financial equity, especially among our nation’s youth, through communication, collaboration, and support for effectiveness in financial education.
Vision
We envision a nation of financially capable youth. Every student in the U.S. receives a financial education that sufficiently prepares them for their adult lives.
Goals
The North Dakota Jump$tart Coalition began as a series of informal meetings held in the fall of 2006 with a group of people interested in furthering financial literacy in our state. Official documents to become an affiliate of the National Jump$tart Coalition soon followed.
On September 28, 2006 the Coalition set forth the following goals:
-
Provide for communication and sharing of ideas among agencies, organizations and individuals who have interest in and concern for financial literacy
-
Promote and support financial literacy activities of North Dakota Jump$tart partners
-
Establish a firm organizational structure, funding and budget
